About Me

I am a cinematographer, innovator, and visual storyteller with a specialty in making effective, emotionally compelling images. A graduate of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, I developed my skills in digital filmmaking through a blend of classroom instruction and production field experience. At UCCS, I not only excelled academically but also gained practical experience through my work with the university's professional video production company, where I worked on large campaigns and live event productions. Growing up in the Czech Republic and coming to school in the United States gave me a global perspective that I bring to my work and that drives me to create stories that speak across cultures and inspire thoughtful conversation.

I've served as a cinematographer on a wide range of projects—from narrative films and short documentaries to promotional content—bringing a sharp visual sensibility, a collaborative spirit, and technical flexibility to the set. My credits also include serving as Director of Photography for an award-winning short film made for the 48 Hour Film Project (Denver) and showing in the Cannes Short Film Corner, as well as creating an international documentary for the Looking China film program in Beijing. Whether I'm working with lighting on set, designing inertial camera movement, or working with my peers, I approach every project with curiosity, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to storytelling that inspires change. My aspiration is to use cinematography as a bridge between people, cultures, and emotions—one frame at a time.
